Spec Case Study:
Sonic identity for a luxury Cotswolds country house hotel, with tailored playlists to enhance serene mornings and sophisticated tasting experiences.

Observation

Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa logo

As we imagined it, Whatley Manor’s Breakfast Terrace and Dining Room demanded a distinct sonic identity: mornings need calm intimacy amid the gardens, evenings a sophisticated veil for tasting menus. We sought an intimate, enveloping frame without distracting guests from their rituals — generic playlists risked breaking the immersion.

Proposition

We designed a seamless soundscape: soft vocal mornings (mellow basses & medium energy) flowing into textured evenings (lush harmonies & subtle grooves). Mornings whisper calm with intimate vocals, evenings weave sophistication through warm, non-intrusive layered grooves.

Result

Whatley Manor now owns a precise sonic territory: Breakfast Terrace whispers intimate calm, Dining Room elevates tasting rituals with signature sophistication. Guests rave about the enveloping high-end vibe down to every detail. Aesthetic Music Collective curation renews the manor’s retreat essence.
